The exhibition explores the ways in which social production of desire is organized in sets of permission and enforcement. Since this game is shaping relations of desire and its representations of objects, and the potential subversion. Surfaces desire seeks to deconstruct the social distribution forms of pleasure. To do this curatorship explores the desire from two areas: the administration trying to subvert its dislocation from the representation of the body as a territory of desire for the differential (gender), body and desire as an affirmation of flux representation that produces downloads of affection and intensity fields pure.
The sample is comprised of 29 pieces including paintings, collage, sculpture, installation, photography and video of 23 Mexican and foreign artists as Marcela Astorga, Georgina Bringas, Dorothy Cross, Rineke Dijkstra, Karin Dolk, Maria Ezcurra, Angus Fairhurst, Anthony Goicolea, Gabriela Gutierrez, Gary Hill, Graciela Iturbide, Juan Pablo Macías, César Martínez, Ana Mendienta, Erick Meyenberg, Gabriel de la Mora, Christian Siekmeier, Valeska Soares, Sofia Taboas, Wolfgang Tillmans, Franz West and Beatriz Zamora
